SHIPWRECK
Chile / 2021

The vines of Viña Iolani grow on the rocky slopes of the majestic Andes mountain range, in a sector called the Peñalolén Ecological Community. They are fertilized with natural fertilizers and irrigated with water from mountain slopes. The care of the vines and the production of the wine is done in a natural and manual way, producing organic, exquisite and healthy Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet Sauvignon goes through a unique aging process. It is taken to the coast of the Atacama desert, to be submerged in the sea by divers and fishermen from the Chañaral de Aceituno cove. They chain cages with the bottles to rocks on the seabed 20 meters deep, with a pressure of 3 atmospheres, where the temperature is constant between 12 and 14 degrees all year round. The bay of the cove is especially rich in microorganisms, which attracts the whales that make the cove so famous, and which creates optimal conditions for our bottles to be decorated by the sea itself. The corallines, polychaetes, picorocos and algae that adhere to them make each bottle decorated in a unique and unrepeatable way. Our Shipwreck wine is unique in Chile.
